Humans and Humanity both are a casualty

इंसान और इंसानियत 

 इस वबा ने कुछ ऐसा पैर पसारा है।

 इंसान के साथ इंसानियत भी मारा है। 

 रहम ओ करम हो वक़्त का, ये भी नवाजिब। 

 वक़्त का हर सितम इस वबा से हारा है।

 

 फासले दिलों में कुछ इस कदर है आ गए

 "मेरा बस मेरा है, वो तुम्हारा बस तुम्हारा है।" 

 यों तो नक़ाबों का सूरत पर टिकना ज़रूरी, 

 बहुत से सीरत है जिनसे नक़ाब उतारा है। 

 ग़र ये नहीं क़यामत तो फिर क्या है ज़लज़ला ? 

हाला-ए-बुग्ज़ में कुछ डूबा जहां सारा है।

 वबा = Pandemic 

हाला-ए-बुग्ज़ = Poison of Hatred.

 To think of it, this pandemic has not only killed humans but also killed humanity.

 On one side I do believe this is man made. But there is also a saying "Man proposes God Disposes."

 One of the many reasons why God could not dispose this evil proposal by man is because even He wanted to test us. 

 The nefarious ideas of the experimenting Virologists of China, only made his work easy.

 During the 1920 Spanish flu pandemic there was a same situation, but the incidences where you had politicians taking a mileage or people black marketing essential commodities were less. Cut to after a hundred years when a similar situation comes God notices the moral degradation in the society and wonders, " can humans as a race still live on or is it the time that I pull the plug? " 

 I remember in my school there used to be periodic tests to assess my dexterity. Well we can assume this is a periodic assessment of God to understand whether we pass or we fail. As we know we had passed earlier and that is why we are here, but consistently our evaluation has fetched lower scores definitely showing a decline in our moral standards. 

 Just hope, this time the score is not below the Red line, where a drastic decision needs to be taken by God.
