Conversations

It is really a challenge to write something on the aspect of LGBTQ . First of all for a person like me to actually understsnd the gravity of this concept took a lot of time and then possibly to digest it took even more.

This poem is a converstation between a father and a son, when the fayher finds out that the son is Gay.

Conversations (Gay)

Father:

"I have a strong hunch, son, you are going the wrong way.

There are rumors that I have heard, and pretty strong must I say.

Rumors that do not speak well of you and tells you are Gay.

I wish to discount these but then thought might I ask

Have been not so strict with you, so is telling me truth a task?"

Son:

"Dad, I never wanted to hide and I just wanted to say

Every person has a choice within, every one his own way.

I cannot say I am wrong or right but then can't do this away

Tis true, Oh Father! I am not abashed, that I am a Gay.

Like every drop has a sea… like every cloud its rain

So what if I took the road less tread and took a tough terrain.

I know that there will be people around calling me all name

But I am what I am Oh father! I need not have a shame!

Throw me not away from you, for I am the fruit of Thee

But if this fruit's a little odd, then will you forgive me?"
